It’s been about a month since I first picked up my infrared modified camera. I read a bit, took a few lessons online with Dan Wampler and have slowly found my way around the realm of faux color. At first I kept things on the subtle side, if you want to call bright orange trees subtle, but now, comfortable with the process, have uncovered another aspect, extreme faux color. In this process I bend the color channels, hue & saturation levels far enough to create alternate reality and put a stronger graphic element into the photograph, in a few of them, something akin to a lithograph.
