In almost every photograph there is a color that either provides visual tension or carries the entire image. It's a matter of discovery through observation rather than planning. Variants to prime colors can be compelling. Greens can include yellow and cyan, blues can lean from turquoise to magenta, red to lavender and pinks, and yellow to oranges and golds, all visually compelling.
