ALMOST OBSESSED

My dalliance, slowly turning into a torrid affair with infrared photography continues. I had an online zoom lesson with Dan Wampler yesterday. He is a master of the infrared art, and a wonderful teacher. The first thing he told me was to change my entire approach to processing images. It seems the two programs most popular for processing digital images, Adobe’s Lightroom and Camera Raw, are not good for nailing the white balance for infrared images. Most of the major camera manufacturers offer their own software for processing their images and Fuji has a version of Capture One that’s aces. So now, I am on the right path, with a lot more to learn. I’m planning on a couple of more of Dan’s zoom sessions now that I can am pointed in the right direction.

Here are some photographs from my stroll around Deerfield Beach this morning.
